Velox is an advanced miniature gyro stabilized EO/IR 2-axis payload for day and night surveillance and area dominance applications. High dynamics – high endurance performance enables large amplitude vibration compensation, allowing operation in low light level and thermal camera with no blur. The Payload is equipped with high end optics 12M pixel VIS camera and uncooled IR 640 x 512 Camera. The line of sight is stabilized by a closed loop control system. It achieves stabilization of elevation and azimuth axes with the assistance of the gyroscope and encoders sensors to a level of 80μRad.

North-finding Rotary Stage

Rotary Module for True North Finding: packaged in a 30mm cube, this rotary module contains motors , encoder, drive and servo control. This module operates in 90° and 180° increments providing 0.1mrad resolution and 3mrad position repeatability.
Designed to be hand-held or device mounted, this rotary module can calibrate electronics for north-finding and rotate 180° in 1 second.

Nanomotion’s High speed beam steering module: capable of moving a 50mm diameter mirror, or other optical devices. This steering module provides 8° total travel and operates at 3Hz over ±1°.

This module uses an absolute encoder with 0.09µrad resolution and 14µrad positional accuracy. Operational temperature rating from
-40°C to 80°C.
